Our dataset exists in the form of tables and Microsoft\nExcel spreadsheets, with a data volume of <2 MB.\n<br /></br />\nThe dataset generated represents measured flow dimensions (i.e.,\nlength, width, and slope) and subsequent calculated flow\ndimensions (i.e., volume and mass) for 40 lava flows observed in\nthe Tharsis volcanic province on Mars. The raw data can be\ncompared to known terrestrial data and fed through existing and\nfuture models to constrain flow emplacement conditions. This\ndataset represents one of the larger samples of observed Martian\nlava flows analyzed with high resolution images (e.g., CTX and\nHiRISE) and moderate to high resolution DEM data (e.g., MOLA and\nHRSC).\n<br /></br />\nIn addition to the raw data, this dataset also contains the\nresults of two model applications. We used these data to obtain\neruption rate and/or rheological parameters using models\ndescribed in the main text of Peters et al. (in review) derived\nfrom the following references (e.g., Fink and Griffiths, 1990;\n1992; Hiesinger et al., 2007; Baloga and Glaze, 2008). A\ncombination of total volume estimated from the DEMs and\ncalculated eruption rate resulted in eruption durations are also\nsupplied in the dataset."},"publication":[{"publicationCitation":"Peters, S. et al.
